filesystem integrration, does not wokr on debian linux
wuala gets mountet, and i can see the files, but when i try to rsync two directories i just get errors like this:
rsync: send_files failed to open "/home/christoph/wuala/direct/Zaunmayrchris/Music/classic/komponisten/bach_johann_sebastian/brandenburgische_konzerte/concentus_musicus_wien__n_harnoncourt/cd1/02_II Andante 2 Konzert Fdur BWV 1047.ogg": Input/output error (5)
it seams as if wuala tries to download the files which i want to sync.... although thats not necassary for syncing the files, because both directories are in wuala...
any ideas how i can sync two wuala-directories???
rsyncing already worked sometimes, somehow, on some files.... but now it does not work anymore at all

Inappropriate?hmm. As you write, rsyncing to wuala ist working sometimes, sometimes not. I have not found a way to get it working stable yet...
Of course wuala try to download the syncing files, even both dirs are in wuala. Because rsync wants to look inside the file.. If you just want to copy files inside wuala, you can try a cp command (and eventually cron it), this should work (I ́m not really sure - have to test it for myself. cping from local into wuala is working good so far. You probably have to delete the files in destdir before copying). -
doesnt work. wuala is downloading the files too.. -
Inappropriate?"Of course wuala try to download the syncing files, even both dirs are in wuala." ... hmm.. i already rsynced within wuala dirs without downloading the files. some gb got synced in serveral seconds.

Inappropriate?now wuala also downloads the files if i cp them... (cp them from one wuala directory to another)
-
Inappropriate? The time you have synced in a few seconds, the files have been in your local wuala cache already, I think.
I have thougt about it a little bit on my way - I think there is no way without having the files in the cache yet, because all copy-tool will touch the files locally.. Maybe the stuff can code a ./wuala command for this? -
Inappropriate?i think you are right. the files where in the wuala cache because i had uploaded them just before syncing...
maybe copying without downloading would be somehow possible if you make a fuse-filesystem for mounting wuala... but i don't know. i'm just a n00b -
Inappropriate?I believe you could do a decent job syncing public files using the API as I believe you can get file hashes. You would have to write the syncing app yourself though. The API doesn't support private files yet AFAIK.
