How to install Wuala in Turkey?
Does the government i Turkey bann acess to the wua.la web- page?
My friend from Turkey and I were studying togehter in Denmark last semester.
Here we installed Wuala for sharing school projects and files, fast and safe.
When he went back to Turkey he bought a new computer and wanted to install Wuala on it. But then he found out that he in Turkey had no access to the wua.la web page,
and could not install the program on his new computer. I even sended the Wuala installation file to him, but it is not working.
The good news is that Wuala is working on his laptop, since he installed the program on this computer back in Denmark. But it seems like it is difficult to get new Wuala users in Turkey.
Anyone who knows anything about this problem, and how to solve it?

Inappropriate?maybe turkey is blocking some foreign networks, but that seems odd.
wuala is using the amazon cluster download servers to update itself, amazon s3 services and such, and then later bootstrapping into the wuala network with the help of some wuala servers in switzerland and i encountered some connection to some rootservers in german datacenters.
if its possible he should/could debug is network connection with the help of some networking tools, process monitors and such and see which connections fail or timeout.
on windows the sysinternals (microsoft by now) tools are pretty handy. with process explorer (procexp.exe) you can watch the wuala.exe process and see in the tcp/ip settings if it can connect to those servers/nodes or not and eventually what fails and so on.
there are many other tools also for windows and for all the other platforms too.
maybe your friend can also try different internetproviders in turkey, maybe some other dialup-providers, broadband, school/university or something.
