HTTP/FTP Access to the Wuala files for Webservers
Is it possible to access the Wuala Drive via FTP/HTTP instead of the Wuala program so that e.g. Webservers are able to download the files?

Inappropriate?See: http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi...
If you want http access to the public files read the Chat Thursdays' logs (although I think that the server referenced in there is temporary...) -
Inappropriate?I noticed that the server mentioned in Chat Thursdays is no longer working.
I am wondering what is planned (if anything is planned) about pure http access for public files. I don't know if this is feasible since someone would have to pay for the traffic.
Anyway, it would be a nice feature. I would use wuala as a substitute for imageshack for example.
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?ImageShack limits the file size and file type you can upload to their service for hotlinking. They said they were working web-based java applet that would download the Wuala files from the nodes:

This way traffic is contributed by Wuala users. Being able to hotlink via HTTP on public files is easy target for abuse. I believe this is why the server was taken offline. For example, webseeding on a new popular torrent will utilize a lot of server bandwidth. That's why you see RapidShare, MegaUpload, etc have those countdown climbers and make impossible to hotlink to files. -
Inappropriate? This was only a test server and it was shutdown because of too much traffic.
Currently, pure http access is not planned but with the public beta, webstart will be available. This enables you to access content in Wuala without the need to install a software (but this is still possible). -
Inappropriate? Can we access public files with webstart without an account?

Inappropriate?that is planned, if you see here: http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi...

Inappropriate?Yes, accessing public files or password protected files/folders without a wuala account will be possible.
