Is Wuala fast enough for hosting mail folders?
Can I use Wuala to host my local (thunderbird)
mail folders? I've uploaded the mail folders ...
but when mounting them on a remote machine
and using thunderbird, it seems the upload/download
speed is too slow to do this. Does anyone use Wuala
for this, or is Wuala only for slow backup?

Inappropriate?I wouldn't do that...
Use IMAP mail instead of POP3, most providers provide IMAP. Mail is kept on the server instead of the client.
Wuala isn't designed to do that kind of syncing. The nearest thing is I keep my music on Wuala and access it on my desktop & laptop, but the music doesn't change.

Inappropriate?I'm using IMAP but my mail folders are too big
for the server. Mail has to be moved off and archived.
But in this case, the archived mail isn't accessible.
Anyway, I've tried this solution with Wuala, and as you say,
it doesn't update quick enough to be useful for that.
I’m a bit disappointed

Inappropriate? The problem with big (mail) archives (usually a pst-file) is that the whole file will be encrypted and uploaded every time something small (e.g. a single mail) is added
