Let users decide to which directory to download files.
Hi folks,
Quite literally, what the title says. I would like to have a function which when I click on donwload allows me to select a directory to which I want to store the file (files) I have marked for the download. As addition, you could allow users to set a default directory for downloads in the options.
Thanks

Inappropriate?Hi.
You could always right-click a file and select "Export to...", which will open a choose directory-dialog. The file in question is still stored in your local cache, though.

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? You are right, however, this cache as well as the local backup are not very efficient especially, if you already exported something...

Inappropriate?True.
The local backup is annoying, but apparently the network is not (yet?) good enough to store data with 100% reliability, so data has to be refreshed from a backup somewhere. However, the developers are apparently working on a solution (see http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi...)
The local cache OTOH is just that, a cache. You can shrink it in the options, at the expense of possibly having to download something again that would otherwise be stored there.
