I can't wait for the beta. It seems like they are "rushing" things for it and keep breaking shit. Hopefully they will calm down then and develop at a steady pace.

I also use it a central data store for some groups, so we have a repository for word files etc.

Inappropriate?Wuala can be used for a lot of things.
Currently I use it to backup all my music, documents, small videos and images (photos, wallpapers, etc.). This is useful not only as backup but also as a way of keeping my two computers kind of synchronised.
Some of the photos are shared with friends.
Me and my friends also have a private group where we share anything we want.
When webstart is out we'll be able to share files with anybody. So if a friend (who is not in wuala) asks me for a file, I'll just put it in a password folder and send him the link+password.
