Why does the system clock runs too fast (xp)? Warum rennt die System-Uhr?
DE:
EN:
The system clock of my computer (Win xp) runs often very quickly if Wuala runs.
One minute of the system clock takes only about 36 seconds realtime, + / - 2 s.
What could be the reason? Do others have the problem, too?

Inappropriate?not here.
use the windows (xp) time service and update your time from the internet or other sources frquently.
windows timeservers also comes with win2000 and later operating systems.
*nix systems also have the ntpd xntpd and such timeservices that can keep up with the time.
other than that, maybe you are running your operating system from inside a virtual machine, thats a common problem of scheduling, timeslices and so on on virtualized systems that the system clock of the guest operating system doesnt run in real-time.
other than that i can only think about bad hardware (mainboard, cmos), or bad components on the hardware.
or some other applications that eat up your real cpu cycles (create huge loads). try to look with various tools what eat your system resources. there are tools like perfmon and many others that come bundled with your operating system. -
Inappropriate?same problem here - I just noticed that.
cpu usage never more than 50% -
Inappropriate?why are you people bringing up stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with wuala at all.
as for 50%cpu usage, that is also possible on multicore/smp/numa environments. wuala only seems to use one single thread at maximum core usage, so with a dual-core environment, that makes exactly 50% of total cpu load. on quadcore thats 25% and so on.
before bringing up topics please do think yourselves a little bit about your topics before posting and do some research for starters. -
Inappropriate?I brought this up for a reason - I have a brand new box and it's only running wuala - that's why...
