Why is there upload traffic, even if i do not upload files at that moment ?
Since i uploaded some files i permanently have a upload rate of up to (the value i selected in options menu) KB/s, even if i do not upload files (Whats that upload traffic for?)
And... the clear list function of "Downloads" Windows does not work. If i restart Wuala the files will be displayed again...
anyone an idea on how to fix these problems ?

Inappropriate? They discussed this in the Google Tech Talk about Wuala. Because storage traders can come and leave, this results in an inherent churn on data. Your node is slowly "healing" your files in the background. Wuala's data redundancy is enough to guarantee persistence in the mid-term, but this is necessary for long term storage.

Inappropriate? In the future, this will be handled in a distributed fashion (without requiring you to keep a local copy), see "anonymous maintenance" at: http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi...

Inappropriate? So if i go offline it could happen - even if i use online space - that my friends are not able to browse or download my files ?
-
It is theoretically possible, but it would probably take a long time. Wuala uploads files with lots of redundancy, which means that even if a large portion of data is lost, it is still possible to reconstruct the file. Furthermore, most storage node outages are temporary, so it's likely that the file will "reappear" later. -
Inappropriate?Well I know that there is maintanance traffic to make sure my data is alive out there but shouldn't that be visible in the upload statistics? In my case only my new file is in the list but is not uploaded while traffic is at limit. Is there any known problem?

Inappropriate?Have you already clicked on "show maintenance" in the upload-view?

Inappropriate?clients (software) not only their own data chunks, but also get crypted chunks from the other participants on the wuala networks and store that on your cache space of the wuala client. from time to time they push these chunks of crypted data back into the network/wuala backendservers and other clients/storage nodes and so on.
thats the whole idea of wuala actually. its not just about uploading your files. other places/clients need to store your stuff/data/chunks and need to be able to give back these chunks (distribute) to the rest of the network ofcourse.
think about it. -
Not yet, this feature is still planned; read http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi...
