Wuala.exe
Please create a wuala.exe process thread instead of javaw.exe!
Killing the process then would not longer kill all other java applications and also firewall rules would be easier to set.
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Thanks!
Process is Wuala.exe now
2 questions
1) but firewall still asks to accept all incoming and outgoing connections with java...
2) why is this a tool and not a standard feature ?? -
1) not a question...
2) because of Webstart - it's not nice to run an exe-file from within your browser... Browsers can only launch Java applets and if you use Webstart you'll still have the javaw.exe. -
1) whatever ... it just sucks
2) while I get the whole "webstart" thing there is no need for that once the application has appeared in the startmenu -
Inappropriate?wuala would actually need to go for their own protocol thingy, i dont recall the technical name for that now..
like wuala:// and then the urls. that would allow operating systems and environments configure and set a handler for the wuala:// address and it would be all fine. no more need for java webstart crap and bollocks like that.
websurfing on wuala.com is fine, but then why not having the actual downloads also additionally as wuala://yourname/yourfolder/yourfile-xxx.jpg as an additional link. if you click the http direct download, your file comes from the wuala.com webservers, if you click the wuala:// url then your file gets downloaded via the wuala p2p cloud.

p.s. its prolly called uri scheme name i suppose....

Yeah, but atm you can launch Wuala from the web, even if you don't have it installed without any problem - if you create "wuala://" Links, you'd have to have Wuala present already and listening for those links. -
