Wuala Freeze (double click simple folder) on XP Home SP3
My Wuala (fully updated as of 8/1/2008) appears to freeze after double-clicking any folder within the scope of my account, or it "locks up" and Task Manager (running XP Home SP3) appears to call it "Not Responding". There is no bandwidth being used when I start the client. What do I do (or you guys can do) to fix this? Any more help is appreciated!

Inappropriate?UPDATE: Actually my Wuala client had to take several minutes after loading to initialize properly, which it normally does not need to do from what I understand.
But now I can access everything normally again. I just have to wait a minute or two from now on after loading to access everything.
Thanks guys. Wuala is TRULY great. -
Inappropriate?I have more or less the same problem: Also Xp SP3 (But XP Professional). My friends (some (not all) can access the shared folder, bu I myself as account & folder owner cannot acces it. At least not by using the Wuala client. I did not update the client at all!
More funny: I have several computers running this client. From some I can upload files to the folder by using explorer (not the wuala client). Some of my friends see the new uploaded files. But I cannot access them. Very frustrating situation - can someone of the wuala staff look into this please?
I’m very sad as I like Wuala so much, but this is annoying...

How long have you been waiting? I am waiting quite some days now & still cannot access my files... nor reply whatsoever from the Wuala team. -
Inappropriate? When I doubleclick on 1 of my folders in the Wuala client. All I see is the Windows hourglass running & running... until it stops & I still don't get access to my folder. If I use e.g. TotalCommander I do see my W; drive ands also this subfolder. But I need to get to it using the Wuala client if I want another friend to share the files with...
I’m tired of waiting

Inappropriate?Sometimes the client freezes here as well, but I haven't found any kind of pattern yet - my guess it tries to connect to something that is not available or responding slowly... but then all GUI-Clients would be affected! I'll keep my eyes open...

I managed to open the folder by using the "Show Folder Tree" button - than I could all of a sudden open the folder & adress another share to one of my friends... weird. -
Inappropriate?I've identified a possible cause for this problem, the fix will be deployed with the next update (scheduled for tomorrow or Tuesday). Let me know if the problem is still there by the end of the week.

Inappropriate?tomorrow or tuesday? its tuesday here at my place and tomorrow is wednesday. so today or tomorrow or when is the update to be published?
confusing statements in here. -
Inappropriate?the workaround works fine for me: click in the menubar on the 'Show Folder Tree' button & open the folder from that tree. Having done so I can close the folder tree-view and acces the folder in the normal way without freezing the client.
I’m temporarily happy
