Wuala gets "stuck" while uploading files.
When the uploading works fine, it's cruising at 80 KB/s. When it's not working Wuala reports an upload speed of 5 KB/s to 10 KB/s, and the 'Uploads' window reports some file at 99% progress.
This problem is going to turn an overnight upload into an all week thing. :(
I am on Mac OS X Version 10.5.5 and using Wuala Beta MAC 58.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?The upload is too slow!!
I'm uploading now for hours with a speed of 0-10kb/s.
I’m very frustrated!!!!!
-
Inappropriate?Same here. I have fast broadband and am also running OSX 10.5.5 but only getting a maximum upload speed of 15KB/s with Wuala's connection going into yellow every now and then. Could this be a compatibility issue?
Any ideas would be appreciated!! -
Inappropriate?I cannot reproduce this on my site(s), uploading with the given 150kb/s or 2Mb/s. I think there will be more informations needed.
Did this appear on big files? There are problems known with really big files (over 4GB round)... -
Inappropriate?another possibility is that your router goes down due to the count of connections wuala uses. Maybe you can proof that also.
There a also discussions to limit the number of connections to fixe this problem.. -
Thanks for your reply bagelcat. The problem seems to occur on all sized files of all types. I can surf the internet and receive emails so my router is fine. I notice that in the preferences window you can open a port for sharing disk space but should this not also provide a non firewalled connection to the Wuala server? -
Inappropriate?yes. Wuala should open a port via upnp if aviable. You can try to manually define a port an NAT that port in your router. Maybe..
Outgoing traffic also should not be blocked by the apple firewall in standard mode (erg - I don ́t use the build in). If this happen, you ́ll havent any connection at all.
You see, I haven ́t any idea whats goin wrong. But I ́ve asked the stuff to join this threat here and help -
Inappropriate?I have a video file that I've been trying to upload to one of my groups. It is 252 MB. I am uploading it on a Windows machine, so it is not a Mac issue. The file got "stuck" at about 35% the first time. I deleted it from Wuala and re-copied it over. The next time, it got to about 56%. I did it again, and got to 84%. Then, the next time I did it, the file wouldn't upload at all (or not very much). When it was uploading OK, I was getting about 96KB/sec, so I have a good connection. I also checked for updates and am on the newest one. Hope this helps narrow it down.
I’m irritable

Inappropriate? This is an example of what my uploads window looks like when it hangs up: http://www.grabup.com/uploads/4180f93...
Note that:
* a file is at 99% completion
* Wuala *is* uploading something at a very slow rate (usually less than 10 KB/s)
I can fix it by pausing the file that is hung up at 99%, then selecting the file an d clicking 'Start Now', but then it would just hang up again on the next file.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? Can you press Ctrl-Alt-X when it is stuck again? This closes Wuala and sends me a report of what wuala is currently doing. Please also send a quick note to luzius@wua.la after you have done so so I know when to look for such a report. :)
-
Sure. It'll be tonight or tomorrow morning. -
Hi Luzius, I just did that, and also sent you an email. -
Inappropriate?Well, I sent a couple of reports to Luzius but have not gotten any feedback from him. Wuala is not working for me, so I'm going to give up on it. I hope their system can account for the 9 GB or so that is currently stored on my systems, because I'm going to completely remove it today. Maybe I'll check back with it in a few months.
I’m done.

Inappropriate?@donex: What OS are you using? How good is your connnection? Do you have a "green" connection on Wuala? Are you behind a router? If so, have you tried that with other computers in the LAN?
