Inappropriate?I think I can help with that too :)

Inappropriate?Try to open the file "C:\Program filesWuala\Program\messages_en_US.properties" with a nice texteditor (like Notepad++)
Inside are all textstrings that can be translated - you'll have to escape special characters (for example "ö "\u00F6") I guess - maybe you can even save the file back as "messages_de_DE.properties" and change the language to "German" so you can switch between Portugese and English!
If you publish that file to the developers maybe they could add it as an unsupported feature. -
Inappropriate?Celsoldc e nmat, eu jástou trabalhando na traduç para o portuguêdo Brasil do arquivo de mensagens do Wuala, o que cobre quase tudo. Entrarei em contato com vocêse precisar de ajuda.
I’m happy to help Wuala

Inappropriate?We just wanted to say that Wuala is being translated into Portuguese right now. This thanks to the initiative of our members, thanks so much! We'll have a first version soon...
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Hi Gabriel,
Dominik just told me you are working on a translation for Portuguese. That's nice. If you need some help I am happy to help. Just let me know.
Sou brasileiro ;)

Inappropriate?Obrigado, cax! Talvez vocêossa me ajudar testando a versãfinal em portuguê que eu devo ter em alguns dias, bem como sugerindo mudanç nos termos que eu escolhi. Adicione-me no Wuala (gtavares) que eu compartilharei o arquivo da traduç quando ele estiver pronto para os testes. O que acha?
I’m happy to find another brazilian

Inappropriate?why does it take so long with addtl languages? the wuala team has never posted into this or other similar multilang/languages threads... too bad :(
it would be pretty easy to let the community help to translate stuff at least and/or many other smaller and bigger tasks. -
Inappropriate?nickname, if you could read portuguese you would notice that what you are complaining about is actually not happening. I am performing the brazilian portuguese translation and cax will help me with the final review. the total time spent is around one week for this translation (which is expected to be finished in a couple of days). So, no, it is not taking long; yes, the community is helping. And, I am doing that purely as a volunteer. Of course it would be faster if I would quit my job... But let me add that translating is not only a matter of going thru a message file and replacing english words by the target language words. There are syntax issues and vocabulary issues that might make the translation more difficult than a simple "replace" function. And you are wrong about something else: Oona has posted a note above, 1 day ago.
I’m working hard on the portuguese translation
-
Inappropriate?what are you mumbling about... i was talking about documentation and some official posting from the wuala team on howto translate the strings most easily...
some form/feedback on their website would actually be the best way. simply display all the english strings on one side in a table, and enter the translated strings in the appropriate form fields and submit the form.
done.
translation of some hundred strings is to be done (native speakers) in like an hour or two if you know what you are translating (it/tech stuff) and have the appropriate vocabulary and understanding.
no big deal. wondering why its taking them wuala team so long to post a simple form or site where one can enter the translations.
oh an besides, we have been talking about raw translation of those string files like a month ago or so, where we analyzed their java tools and everything without the slightest documentation at all.
so much for your trouble with portuguese ;p

Inappropriate?"translation of some hundred strings is to be done (native speakers) in like an hour or two if you know what you are translating (it/tech stuff) and have the appropriate vocabulary and understanding."
ok. what are YOU mumbling about? I have been doing this for the last days and it surely took more than "2 hours" so far. It is a 90k text file. I am a software developer and I speak fluent english, german and (of course) portuguese, but maybe I am missing something obvious here, according to you this should be ready the 1st day I started...

Inappropriate?@ all
Thanks for your interest and your willingness to translate Wuala. It's great to see that we have such a enthusiastic community!
I just want to clarify some things:
1) Wuala is being translated into Portuguese with the help of Gabriel and Cax (and others who have contacted Gabriel)
2) The Portuguese translation is the first translation being done - so this is kind of a "test" to see how it works out.
3) nickname's idea about posting an official guide on how to translate Wuala is great, but we are not ready for this yet. We first want to see how it works out with the Portuguese translation.
Is that okay with all of you?
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I'm glad that we finally have a portuguese version :)
I noticed a bug:
Ferramentas -> Idioma -> Portugê(Portugê
should be
Ferramentas -> Idioma -> Portguê(Portguê
Also, when I click in 'Verificar novamente' (Ferramentas->Opçs->Conexã some of the text isn't translated yet:
Analisando a conexã..
Resposta recebida do servidor de Ping A, seu endereçexterno éx.x.x.x:50070
Resposta recebida do servidor de Ping B, seu endereçexterno éx.x.x.x:50071
Trying UPnP...
Found UPnP router http://x.x.x.x:80/upnp/IGD.xml
Port forwarding setup successful, retesting connection...
/x.x.x.x:7287 nãaceita conexõde entrada.
It seems your connection is not suitable for trading storage.
Please enable UPnP on your router/firewall or configure it manually to forward incoming UDP connections
on port 7287 to this computer. If you have already done so, you
might need to restart your router and/or Wuala.
Anyways, thanks to everyone to contributed to the translation.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?Actually it should be "Ferramentas -> Idioma -> Portuguê(Portuguese)"
I will take care of the untranslated text you pointed out and I will try to post a newer string table as soon as possible
I’m working on the portuguese closed alpha! :)
-
Inappropriate?Ferramentas->Opçs->Negociaç: falta um espaçem "aoconvidar"
Em relaç àraduç propriamente dita, nãvou apontar nada porque o portuguêdo Brasil tem bastantes diferenç do portuguêde Portugal.
Ferramentas->Opçs->Negociaç: space missing in "aoconvidar"
I am not going to criticize anything related to the translation itself because there are many differences between the portuguese from Portugal and portuguese from Brazil. -
Inappropriate?maybe you peepz gotta create multiple portuguese / langs for multiple nations where it really matters.
-
Inappropriate?"where it really matters", what do you mean by that?
-
Inappropriate?I understand perfectly everything on the translation but some words are not commonly used in Portugal. Many programs have the distinction between portuguese from Portugal and portuguese from Brazil and many don't. Wuala only has 3 languages and I don't think that another portuguese version is needed. There are other languages with much more priority in my opinion.
But yes, in the future I would like to have 2 types of portuguese. -
Inappropriate?everybody learn ingrish and all eez godd
-
Inappropriate?The "Confirm File Delete" window isn't translated
-
Inappropriate?this is already translated and will be integrated soon
-
Inappropriate?ROTFL!
Reminds me of some "Schwob Compiler" I had for IRC/UNIX at university back in 1993 ...
So, what about Swabian language files? Anyone??
I’m amused
