WualaTemp
Wuala filled drive C: up to 0 bytes (by adding thousands of small files to C:\tmp\WualaTemp\Upload)
This should not happen, especially on a Windows machine
Why is there a separate directory??
Please move all cache files to the cache directory (which is selected by the user in Tools - Options - Local Cache)

Inappropriate?hm.. Wuala uses the system's temp folder by default for temporary files. You can delete the ones from the Upload folder without doing any harm (besides maybe slowing down pending uploads). Maybe we should make the temp dir configurable.
-
Or maybe put the tmp-files in the same directory as the cache?
--
There are no pending uploads and "uploads" contains ~63000 (!) small files! -
Hi Luzius. Configurable would be great. Tx Raini -
Inappropriate?Yes you DEFINITELY should do so...
And you should make Wuala take care of its own temp files and clean up after itself as every decent program does. There is no such thing as the OS taking care of temp files left behind of a program (as you seem to believe).
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Currently, everything older than 3 days is automatically cleaned up again, we'll reduce that to 1 day with the next update. This should improve the situation by 2/3. :)

Inappropriate?Hello,
today I noticed (because C: drive was suddenly full :-( that this temp-cleanup does not work well or does not work at all. Currently 17,5 GB(!) fill the WualaTemp folder and only ~250MB are in Upload and ~20MB are in download. So this main folder is the problem. Also all files are unencrypted.
If Wuala needs files for maintaining I recommend storing them
a) in the same place as fragments (as set in options)
b) encryped
c) only so much that at least 100MB or more are free on the tmp-drive
(almost in all cases the system drive !)
Thanks!
I’m hoping for a bugfix
-
Update: I just found out that this only happens if you upload files via network drive (= files are copied to WualaTemp and then processed) Maybe Wuala could delete these files from time to time or check if they are still uploaded. Because right now if you delete a file inside Wuala the according file is not deleted from WualaTemp -
Inappropriate? This is totally stupid! Use the Wuala cache dir for temp files. My C is quite full and I cannot download big files (like gigabytes) because they fill up my wualatemp and my C drive with all the problems a full C drive comes with.
Really annoying! Fix this. I can't believe this bug is still valid. Don't you guys use Wuala yourself?
I’m pissed!

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?Hey Kragil
You are right - no diskussion - but please say it a little more respectable!!
'totaly stupid' is not verry polite - especially for such a great freeware-tool like Wuala
I’m looking forward!

Great freeware-tool people pay for. -
Inappropriate?Hallo Luzius
