Is there any legal action being taken to help the polar bears??
I'm very concerned with the rising number of polar bear deaths cause by global warming/arctic ice melt. While it is important to adobt polar bears and conserve in our own homes to help, I am curious if there is any legislation/laws proposed, in the process of being passed or if any laws have already been passed or unapproved. I feel it is very important to take legal action to protect the polar bears. So please tell me, is there any legal action being taken to help the polar bears?

Inappropriate?Dear Meg
There are lots of laws and policies that affect polar bears. Arguably, the biggest issue facing polar bears is climate change and loss of habitat. Therefore, legislation around reduction of greenhouse gases is the most important issue. The following is a wonderful lead from Scotland!

Here are some others as well.

Local policies about indigneous hunting can also be an issue

The above is only a sample selection- you may want to contact WWF's Arctic group for more details.
