What is holding people back? We should get out there and work together!

Why do we keep discussing what we SHOULD do? The reason cant be money, most countries are in debt right now and paying to make nuclear weapons, and war. So what is holding us back? Why can't we just all get to work. There is no time to talk about it. We need to act NOW.
