set focus on url textbox when homepage loads
it would be nice if the cursor was already in the text box when the page loads, then the user could just paste without having to click in the box.

Inappropriate?to advance this idea: after the url has been shortened can you put the focus on the "copy" button or do something else to allow the user to copy the url just by hitting enter.
at the moment you can tab to the "copy" button... but it takes 19 presses!
thanks. -
Inappropriate?Thanks Trevor!
Agreed with the focus issues. Easily fixed (and will be in the next release) for the first page (where you enter the long URL). That used be the case, and I suspect the change to a new layout some months back broke that.
The second issue also needs addressing. I'll look at the tab order and focus a bit more. I have to cater for users with no Flash, and cross-browser support, so that might take me a bit longer, but I will address it.
I'll post an update here when it's done. Thanks for taking the time to make the suggestion.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? This update has now been applied. Thanks for the idea, and your patience!
With the second idea (focus on the generated URL), setting focus on the "Copy" button is easier said than done (if not impossible), so I've set it so that the text box is focussed and selected, so a CTRL+C/CMD+C will do the trick.
I’m thankful for the suggestion!

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?Delighted with that! Thanks Cathal.
