Inappropriate?Hello Sebastian,
There is no chance to get filesystem events from non-native network shares. I also wonder that network windows server works ... hm, it seems guys in Microsoft implemented this protocol for their server, good!

But there is maybe other chance:
ycros is working on linux port of xrefresh-server for OSX, here:
http://github.com/ycros/xrefresh/tree...
You may start xrefresh server on linux and connect to it from windows client (e.g. Firefox extension)
Tips:
1. make sure you are running 0.8 firefox extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...)
2. enter about:config into firefox address bar
set extensions.xrefresh.host to IP of your Linux server
set extensions.xrefresh.localConnectionsOnly to false
set extensions.xrefresh.localPagesOnly to false
3. make sure that windows firewall or some antivirus software doesn't get into the way
This should work in theory, but i've never tested it.
good luck!
