Yahoo!
is committed to open conversation about its products and services. Conversations should be conducted in the spirit of the Company-Customer Pact.
Most questions on here really require help from a customer service agent at Yahoo! They can look at your account and troubleshoot any problems. Help pages are located here: http://help.yahoo.com There are also contact forms there for most products.
I tried to register for a Yahoo account (intending to use Flickr) and when I tried to log in, my account did not exist. I went back to the registration page to try again (saying yes when asked if I wanted to re-send the form) and the password and custom security questions were understandably blank. However, the country had also changed from Canada to Cambodia.
I tried to recover my Yahoo! ID using my other info, and it said no such account was registered. This would probably have been much easier had a confirmation email been sent to my alternate email address.
This affects all services because I cannot create an account.
Does yahoo instant messenger have a way to log chat history to the yahoo servers, so we can view conversations from anywhere by logging into our yahoo mail account? If not, are there plans to do this?
Someone is spamming about 1/3 of my yahoo address book contacts with online casino gambling spam. I have:
removed one malware infection. When that didn't work, I then:
reformatted my hard drive
installed NEW antivirus, malware, and firewall programs.
When that didn't work I:
changed my yahoo pasword
deleted all my contacts. (I did this, not whatever has accessed my account.)
NOTHING WORKS!!! What do I do? I want to KEEP my yahoo address, but people are getting spammed, as if by me.
A friend installed firefox 3.5 today and now it won't let her sign into yahoo mail so I'm afraid to upgrade to it. Anyone know why it won't let her sign in?
I’m really getting fed up with Yahoo! Mail’s terrible spam filter and am considering switching to a different service.
Lately I’ve missed a number of important emails from people in my address book because they were blocked by the Yahoo! spam filter, while every single damn day, a generous helping of Viagra ads, foreign money transfer scams, and porn site solicitations sail on through undetected.
Yahoo! could take the following simple steps to improve their spam protection:
1 - provide a “whitelist” feature like Hotmail does
2 - any email address I send to should automatically be added to my “whitelist”/address book
3 - any email with a date more than X into the future (1 year?) should be automatically flagged as spam. (a very large percentage of my spam has a date many years into the future)
I'm saving many many bookmarks on my delicious and I would like to have it easily available although still secure. One one of having it easily available while still being secure is to let me log in through OpenID - it's an easy way of identification that can be very secure depending on the provider.
I know that the first thing I do after I add a delicious bookmark is go to the site and find out how many other bookmarked the same URL.
Is there a Firefox add-on that shows how many people have created Delicious bookmarks for the page I'm currently on? I'm thinking a count that displays in the FF status bar. It would be a very nice way to measure the relevancy of pages while browsing.
Yahoo! Unable to access account. Account services response was worthless. The responded with a form letter asking me to do exactly what I already did. It did not appear the even read my problem.
It would be very nice to get the delicious bookmark in the Firefox "awesome bar" search as for normal firefox bookmarks for faster search and use of them.
And worst of all, it rarely finishes.
Most of my uploads are big bulk uploads, sometimes with numbers in the hundreds. Therefore it is very annoying that it uploads like 4 pictures slowly and ultimately times out. Fortunately, I can still use the web-based uploader, even getting good speeds. The problem witht this is that it kinda gimps my current workflow.
Any tips, suggestions?
My Insert addresses link does not work, cannot print using print in Yahoo! Mail either.
Anytime I click on either link nothing happens, my pop up blocker is turned off. I'm getting really frustrated somebody please help me out with this issue, or let me know how I can get in contact with Yahoo!
I have registered more than a hundred domains with Yahoo Domains...they were charging $9.95 per domain. Now they have increased the renewal fee to $34.95...so looking at the extortion, I'm shifting to another domains provider which is still charging $9.95 per year...
I have requested to shift one domain to a different provider and have decided to drop one for the time being. Yahoo Domains won't let me cancel the service (it takes me back to the domains page) and won't even let me remove my credit card information...
I hope I can transfer to the other provider and Yahoo won't blackmail & frustrate me further...and also cancel service for the domains I don't need anymore...
Messages I had saved in my inbox and sent box between April 20th to June 1st 2009 are no longer available. While I can open past emails, the "body of content" is empty, and the recipient has changed to undisclosed? What's going on here? Is this an error with Yahoo, or did someone compromise my email service?
Also, i filled out a Yahoo ticket? Do they archive my emails?
Just like Flickr prompts you to allow permission for “m.flickr.com” to access your location, so should Fire Eagle prompt you to allow permission for "m.fireeagle.yahoo.net" to access your location.
