Can't access yahoo email account.
I think I've had my yahoo email account hacked into. I've had the account for about 10 years and I've never had a problem before. Now it just tells me my password is incorrect and I can't get in. I have email yahoo customer support twice this week and have received no response. My user ID is jayne_deering@yahoo.com. Please can someone advise who I can contact about this.

Inappropriate?Try logging in at wap.oa.yahoo.com and choosing Mail
If your password is rejected, then
a) you forgot your username or password - recover them at http://edit.yahoo.com/forgot
b) your account has been inactive for so long it's no longer available; see http://help.yahoo.com
c) your account has been hacked - use a stronger password next time, and call Account Security at 1-866-562-7219 option 2 option 2
If it's accepted, then clear your cookies and cache in your web browser. That's the number one cause of this problem.
IE6: From the Menu Bar, do Tools | Internet Options | You land in the General Tab of a new pop-out small window titled Internet Options. Click on Delete Cookies and confirm, then Delete Temporary Internet Files and confirm. When completed, close the Internet Options window.
Firefox: From the Menu Bar, do Tools | Clear Private Data. Make sure only the Cookies, Cache and Authenticated Sessions tick boxes are checked, then proceed to clear those.

Inappropriate?Thanks for your response. I can't get in on any PC and the recovery process doesn't work. I contacted yahoo and got the following email back. To my knowledge I didn't violate any of the terms so my account must definately have been hacked.
I don't think I can ring yahoo because i live in England. Is there anything I can do?

Inappropriate?i know my account has been hacked last month and again today i had to change my password i would log in to mail it would say we believe your account has been compromised there has been suspicious activity on your account i would log into messenger it would say account is Locked the hackers that got in my account has been sending spam emails to all my friends in my contact list1 Comment
