SOLVE msa.exe problem :P
if you're saying "i've got msa.exe virus, pls help"
here's the best solving way;
Step 1: Open Task Manager. Find exactly "msa.exe" from the "processes" tab (no problem if there isn't anything so, BUT DON'T TOUCH IT IF THERE IS) [Keep the Task Manager Open]
Step 2: Start --> Search
Step 3: Then select "All files and folders" from the left pane
Step 4: Make a search called "msa.exe" [NOTE: SEARCH IN BOTH HARD DRIVES]
Step 5a: When found, stop the search. It will probably have a name called "msa" or "msa.exe". Before deleting it open Task manager again and right click "msa.exe" and select "End process tree".
Step 5b: Just move to step 6 if there wasn't "msa.exe" in the task manager BUT YOU SHOULD CHECK TWICE.
Step 6: Quickly delete the "msa virus" found in the search. [NOTE: YOU SHOULD "ctrl + delete" OR IT WILL JUST MOVE TO RECYCLE BIN.
Step 7: Done!..

I obtained it from a pornographic website with numerous redirect pseudonyms. The website was http://videotubeguide.net/pornstars/x...
The file activated predictably from a temporary file flash movie obtained by clicking upon any of the numerous porn video links. -

Inappropriate?Hi there,
My AVG went crazy telling me of the msa.exe trojan, but it couldn't "heal" it.
In the end with all the clicking here and there AVG shut down. So I opened task manager and shut down msa.exe. Then went into the "Windows" folder and deleted the file.
Also, I had to delete it from the Recycle bin.
Is this a new thing? It is the first time I have experience it.
I was using WYSIWYG WebBuilder when it happened. Could it be something to do with their program?
Yours,
Ty

Inappropriate?THANK YOU SOO MUCH. No anti-virus software could stand up to this thing. It would make every anti-virus software I put on here inoperable and it also got around McAfee. It was a monster. Thank you once again.
I’m in love with you.

Inappropriate?I got rid of it, but the damage is done. My AV (Kaspersky) no longer runs, nothing starts on boot, part of my hdd is "protected" from everything (included me - I'm admin and I can't access part of my own PC!), etc. Be warned: This stuff can do your PC in!

Inappropriate?cc4210 sorry to here that maybe you should have f8 safe in then done it mine is up now for a good waile 100% and AVG 9 is so much better than kaspersky that one is always behind the times

Inappropriate?Just got this problem, your solution fixed it right up. One item of note - when I deleted it from the task manager, I took 6-9 seconds trying to delete it from the hard drive. In that time, it popped back up in the task manager. I wasn't able to do the CTRL-delete, so I had to remove it from the task manager, instantly delete it, then I instantly recycled the recycle bin.
Thanks!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I deleted it and it came back the next day and the next day...help

Inappropriate?Believe it or not but MS Security essentials not only picked up msa.exe on the fly, deleted the startup program (needed to reboot to finish cleaning it and kill the process) and then deleted the program. Finally it asked if it could send the program to MS for analysis. I am impressed....
I’m Hopeful!

Inappropriate?It's gone from processes, but I don't see it in recycle bin. Is it gone?
