OpenID-support for Delicious
I'm saving many many bookmarks on my delicious and I would like to have it easily available although still secure. One one of having it easily available while still being secure is to let me log in through OpenID - it's an easy way of identification that can be very secure depending on the provider.

Inappropriate?Delicious account information is secure right now, but we may decide to also support OpenID in the future; here's a forum thread with more discussion.

Well - an account isn't safer than the strength of the password that protects it and strong passwords are often hard to remember and remembering one password for each web service is even harder so then one might share them between different web services making them insecure that way. -
The strength of the password isn't really the weakest point in the security of Delicious. Rather, any weak email system is the weakest point. An attacker simply has to request a password reset and break into their email account. So Delicious is already trusting its security to all the email providers out there. Personally, I find MyOpenID much more secure than any webmail provider. I log into myopenid.com with an SSL cert. -
Inappropriate?I'd prefer OpenId, too. Because more and more websites tend to log you out after a few days although I visit the account daily and thus "refresh" it. OpenId removes this hassle: log in once, and with a single click you can relogin to all your favorite sites.

Just to note — Delicious recently removed the requirement to log in every two weeks. If you click the checkbox for "Keep me signed in", you won't have to log in again until you choose to log out. -
Ah Britta, good to hear that. Since I am not storing my top-secret personal data there, there is no need to keep it top secure/safe.
