pics not being posted through api

it seems the full url isn't coming back from the api in certain cases. i am seeing this alot in my applicaiton: hideNtweet. i have also seen in in other applications as in this post from tweetie:

this is a serious problem as ppl are posting pics that they think are being shared (the main purpose of your site)...

if this is caused by something i'm doing in my code, please let me know.
