Why is the text not coming through?
When I enter my cell phone number and carrier, I am not receiving a text message. My phone is set to receive texts. I have re-tried 3 times and my boyfriend is trying with his new account too and neither of us is receiving a text. We waited 24 hours and still nothing. Is there a temporary problem?

Inappropriate?Hi memily - sometimes there is a delay depending on carrier and server traffic, but 24 hours is definitely too long, so something must have gone wrong.
Please send us an email containing your MeFile ID to support_AT_youdata_DOT_com asking us to try sending it from one of our personal cell phones. We'll get it to you somehow!

Inappropriate?I'm having the same issue. I already contacted customer support through the link on the site yesterday after trying three times and haven't heard anything yet. I think it has something to do with how the text is being sent. I noticed it was being sent in email form and my phone doesn't have that feature. Just good old fashioned text messaging, no email.

I have answered all support emails related to text messages so I'm not sure we received your support request. Please email us at support@youdata.com with your MeFile ID and we'll have a look. We usually respond within an hour.
As for our text messaging approach. We do not send email to your phone. We do, however, use the email-to-sms gateways that the carriers provide. Their performance and reliability are hit and miss depending on the volume. We will move to a dedicated sms-based solution but for now this is our approach. It's worked for many thousands of MeFiles thus far without any issues!
