Does Anyone know how to contact an actual person at You Tube or information about thier non profit program?
Hi all, I'm with the Center for Arms Control and Non Proliferation, a non profit arms control org in D.C. I recently applied for the You Tube non profit program and was approved, but yet I wasn't aware that when I applied, it would use my login information and username for the application. Therefore, my orgs. URL on facebook is /ashleyCLW (my personal login) vs. something organization related. I would really like to get this changed, speak with someone about it, etc. I could just create a new account but then it won't be part of the non profit program we were approved for. If anyone has information on how I can speak with someone at You Tube about this, please let me know!!! Thanks.

Inappropriate?Ashley, I did the exact same thing and I'm finding it impossible to get a response from someone at YouTube. I've sent 3 or 4 help center emails in the past 3 weeks and no response. Its frustrating, I know. There is absolutely nothing posted in the YouTube FAQ about the nonprofit program.
I feel like I have to have inside connections to get customer support. I'll let you know if anything turns up on my end.
ps I actually thought about driving to the youtube HQ to get help. I am not crazy. I just don't like the idea of my organization losing out on a great opportunity.

Inappropriate?gizurix: I notice you say you feel like you're missing out on a great opportunity. Is there something in particular that you're seeking? Have they publicized a donation program that you're trying to apply for? I'm not familiar with it, so please enlighten me, and maybe we can figure out the best way to get a response. What's the opportunity?

Inappropriate?Hi all, thanks for all your replies. Ah, Gizurix, if you drive to HQ -- come pick me up in DC and I'll come with you. It's pretty ridiculous to launch a program and then have no support for it. I'll let you know if I find out anything as well. Eric, the program allows you to recieve donations via you tube and You Tube also promotes your videos on its homepage. I'm not giving up -- I really want to be part of this. If you have any ideas, please send them my way. Thanks all.

Inappropriate?I have a similar question, but for what I think is a more important reason.
Somebody registered with youtube using my email address. I didn't, and don't want to. BUT I keep getting emails from youtube about "all these people that want to be in my "group" and share movies with me".
All I want to do is get someone at youtube to close the account so that I can get some peace and not see these emails any more.

just send them an email and they will reply in a couple of days..

Carla, I should up date you anyone dreaming of getting a response from the under staffed and overwhelmed support dept of YouTube.
I emailed YouTube on Christmas break December 2007 and finally got the main part of my issue resolved..... 6 months later in May. Thats a looooooong time to wait, for anything. While I'm relieved to have been helped even though my issue was partly resolved. Long story short, my advise is to contact YouTube by any means necessary other than eMail: support@youtube.com
Here is there physical address. They poo-poo receiving mail but you'll have better look camping out by their office door begging for help before getting someone to help you via email. Which admittedly, it makes sense;I imagine they must get a crap load email. You will most likely get someone with a pulse by sending a real piece of mail that is harder to "delete".
