Can I change my username but still keep all of my videos and subscribers? IF so, how?

Inappropriate?Short answer: You can't, well, not in a way I know of, anyway. I signed up ages ago as 'innocentsparkle', but I haven't been able to change it at all, even though I hate my username.

i have no idea. but my user name is sxkxfreestyle85 and so far i have 31000 video views and 121 subscribers, so im happy=)

I had a silly name and wanted to change it also. Oh well I'll have to make a new account. It seems there is a length restriction as I couldn't fit my website http://www.thriller-michael-jackson.com as an account name.

Inappropriate?Yeah, Youtube gives a somewhat cop-out answer to this question:
"Currently, you cannot change your username— there is simply too much information tied to each account. You may, however, sign up for a new account with the username that you desire."
Of course, this notion is a little suspicious... unless their databases are organized in a very un-futureproof manner. My guess is that they just don't want loads of people changing them all the time, and/or want to keep the permalinks more perma, so they continue to show up in web search results. Those are both decent reasons, but still... I feel your pain.

You CAN NOT change your user name. YouTube will not allow you. If you want to have a new name, you must create a new account. This is the ONLY way to "change" your name.

Inappropriate?ya i just made my youtube name the same as my s/n, e-mail adress and everything else but then me and my friends started making a backyard wrestling leage just like fooling around called BKWL and now its weird cuz my channels called lax8196 and my videos are titled BKWL... so i really hope the upgrade that they makers of youtube are making involve the ability to change your user name

Inappropriate?I hate my name, it kinda sucks that you can't change it. If it messes up the database to much, think how many accounts are made/deleted in about 1 month? I mean really! It would be WAY easier if they let you change your name.
