The new bookmarking feature on the iPhone app is great! But what would be even better is a way to sort bookmarks into folders, and make notes/comments on verses from your phone. I love the app though, keep up the good work Youversion!
Under the My Content page there are three menu items. I can barely see them due to their light color. I clicked on the Starred item hoping to see verses that I have starred. However, nothing really happen. I don't see how I can retrieve Starred verses. How do it do it?
The Bible reading plan will always show one chapter per book per day, even when it should include more than one. Such as 1 Thess from Nov 17th. Currently I have to look at tomorrow's reading to see where it picks up to know how far I have to read today.
I really like the idea of the social aspects of YouVersion. I would love to be able to interact with friends and family. The major stumbling block I see it getting them to join yet another social network, with yet another login and password.
Most of my friends and family (through much prodding) are actually signed up and using facebook though.
I just loaded version 0.9.19 and I love it. This is what a BlackBerry app should look like. Much better then the browser shortcut you had before. Keep up the good work!
I download the offline translation to my iphone successfully. But from time to time say 1-2 wks, the downloaded material will disappear and I need to download it again. I've done that a few times. Is it supposed to 'expire'? Thanks,
I have a Blackberry Curve via TMobile. Just updated to OS 4.5. Installed the app and it worked the first couple of times. Since then, it will connect and then go to a white screen. I have tried installing and re-installing. Rebooting. And none of it works. Help!
What if i could click on a verse, or highlight a group of verses and there was a link that would turn that selection into a "tinyURL" that I could insert into Twitter, or my Blog post or any place people usually stick a hyperlink? Wouldn't that be cool? Even cooler if it linked back to the bible version I was using in case the text was specific the story I was writing.
I can't download any of the offline translations. It always stops mid-way (best I got is 2.9MB) and the message "There was an error downloading this translation." comes up. The same result for all translations.
I keep losing my downloaded translations. Shouldn't these remain on my iPod for non wifi areas? I can download and use a couple of times, then it's gone.
I've been able to fetch all the verses of some bible translations of my own language.
It would be nice if you publish a text format keeping the bible database, and let the users add their own translation by creating the database file themselves.
This way, the users will add their own bible translation at their own risk and you wouldn't have to suffer for copyright issues.
