A problem I have with YouVersion bookmarking is that it doesn't work like a physical bookmark, which one normally uses to mark the spot in the bible where you are currently reading. YouVersion bookmarks are more like those sticky tags that you stick to pages to mark passages you really like.
Example of real life bookmark usage with current YouVersion bookmarks:
Say one day you read John 1 chpt 1, then you add a bookmark. Then the next day you use that bookmark to get back to where you were reading and continue. You then read John 1 chpt 2 and bookmark it to mark where you are now and you must remember to delete the old John 1 chpt 1 bookmark to avoid confusion and also to not clutter up your bookmarks page.
I propose a renaming the current YouVersion bookmark functionality to "Favorites" and then create a new "Bookmark" function that is just like a physical bookmark to help you remember where you are reading and this special bookmark can be updated by a special button that moves that bookmark to where ever you are reading - no creating a new bookmark and deleting the old one - just update the bookmark.
Some people jump around the Bible a lot when reading related passages, or just researching etc, and it would be great to have this one special bookmark to use as an anchor to where you are currently reading.
