    FF 3 Addon & qTranslate Last reply on June 26, 2008 05:18.

On Wordpress 2.5.1 the Firefox-AddOn does not work, when you install qTranslate in wordpress, to make multilingual posts.
After activating that Wordpress-Plugin, the Zemanta Box is disappearing.

Zemanta never finishes retrieving suggestions using LiveJournal. Last reply on June 11, 2008 02:12.

I am having problems with LiveJournal. There is no error message, and now that I have my journal defaulting to Rich Text mode the Zemanta sidebar appears. [Andraz saw it fail when the default was HTML].

The Firefox error console has a bunch of messages regarding the CSS of the LJ site skin [Silver?].

Is something wrong with the Zemanta extension? Last reply on June 12, 2008 03:36.

Zemanta was not loading -- not even in the browser bar -- so I uninstalled and went to re-install it. I keep getting a message reading "Firefox could not install the file at
    https://static.zemanta.com.s3.amazona...
    because: Unexpected installation error
Review the Error Console log for more details

Does zemanta work with deepest sender? Last reply on May 21, 2008 19:30.

I use the Deepest Sender extension to edit my Live Journal weblog. Is there a way to make Zemanta work with Deepest Sender? I have installed Zemantha, but even when I edit online after logging in to my LJ account Zemanta doesn't seem to do anything at all.

Zemanta freeze has me in hot water! Last reply on May 12, 2008 10:33.

After adding Zemanta suggested links and pressing save, the screen freezes approximately 2 minutes then goes blank. I'm not able to get back into the application for another 5 minutes, the saved content is where it should be. This happens consistently, even after clearing the cache, what can I do?

related articles box too close to the post text in blogger Last reply on April 02, 2008 11:58.

In blogger posts that use the Zemanta related articles box (e.g. http://www.wizardstower.co.uk/blog/20... ) there doesn't seem to be enough space between the bottom of the last paragraph of text and the top of the related articles box

Zemanta button in posts Last reply on April 13, 2008 08:32.

I do not like the fact that if we use this extension we are forced to manually remove the orange Zeremba button. Scribefire had tried this when they first came out and removed it due to customer complaints. If I like an extension, I will blog about it and you will gt your advertising that way. Or I may donate.....but I certainly don't like to have your advertising pushed down my throat.

For a professional blogger, it's not a good thing.

Zemanta is embedding invalid markup Last reply on April 11, 2008 18:32.

    Please use valid, semantic markup.
The list of links is using a fieldset with legend. However, these should only be used inside forms. I have to re-write the code everytime I use zemanta links. I remove the fieldset and change the legend to an h3.
I'd also prefer the option of no inline CSS styles on links. Not to mention the target="_new".

    To summarize.
    1. Don't use invalid code (fieldset/legend without a form)
    2. Give us an option to have plain markup instead of the inline styles and such.

    thanks

most obvious picture not suggested Last reply on April 07, 2008 01:38.

In this blog post about Xobni - http://www.wizardstower.co.uk/blog/20... - Zemanta never suggested the Xobni logo as a picture to use. I would have thought that as the Xobni logo is in Wikipedia under Xobni, and the post has the word Xobni in it lots that Zemanta would have suggested that picture to me.

weird tag suggestions Last reply on April 06, 2008 22:24.

If I paste the following text into blogger, Zemanta suggests the tags "Barack Obama" and "Hillary Clinton". As you can see, the text has nothing to do with politics. Interestingly by the time I'd modified the text to the final version (see http://www.wizardstower.co.uk/blog/20... ) the tag suggestions were more appropriate.

I found this book to be disappointing. You go into it expecting a subversion of the Wizard of Oz as you've seen it in the movie and read in the book, but that's not really what you get.

If you think about it, the Wicked Witch of the West isn't actually in the original story very much. She's a typical one-dimensional bad guy that attacks the heroes and then gets vanquished. There isn't really that much interaction between Dorothy and the Witch to subvert. Dorothy isn't even in 99% of this book - the story is just concerned with getting the Witch from being a sympathetic character to the point where she takes the actions we see in the original.

For most of the book you are getting to know characters and events that really never matter, because you know how it's going to end. It makes no difference what she did as a child. You go into the story knowing the climax, so it doesn't seem to even try to build up to it - things just happen.

A lot of questions are never answered. There are a lot of Why's outstanding and you never really find out what happened to half of the characters. A lot of plot points are introduced and nothing ever happens with them.

The book was also quite difficult to read. The language was quite dense. It had me reaching for the dictionary on occasion, but I usually appreciate that in a book. Somehow it was just annoying here. Having read the preview chapters of the author's other books included at the end of this one, he always seems to write like this. I will not be buying his other books.

I think that was the problem - it was hard work and there was very little reward at the end.

XML parsing error on install (Gentoo amd64, binary Firefox package) Last reply on March 29, 2008 01:59.

When I try to install the plugin on Firefox, I get the following error:

    XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
    Location: chrome://browser/content/preferences/permissions.xul
    Line Number 1, Column 2:);

    I'm running 32-bit Firefox 2.0.0.13 (Gentoo's mozilla-firefox-bin package) on an x86_64 Linux 2.6.23 kernel.
