Balance of picture subjects sometimes poor
Sometimes I will mention several things in my blog but nearly all the pictures will be to do with one thing/person/etc I've mentioned briefly in passing. It would be good if it was a bit smarter and didn't let one thing dominate the suggested pictures so much. Usually this is fine, it tends to be if I mention someone that's had a huge amount of coverage like a president that it's a problem.

Inappropriate? Thanks for sharing this feedback. Could you maybe link to your blog or specific blog posts? It makes it easier for us to debug this if we have access to the text.
One of the things you can do is to use "search" field to ask Zemanta to focus more on a different term.
Besides that, we're also working on an improved interface that should also help in this area.
The company and 1 other person think
this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?Yes, that's a good point, that's the only situation in which I use the search because it's normally not necessary.
I did a test for you, I made a draft post that just said:
Barack Obama
St. Paul's Cathedral
Cheese
Smile
Lawrence Welk
and all the picture results were Obama-related. -
Inappropriate? The problem with this test is that Zemanta won't work very well with as we're not optimized for such text (a few keywords).
But we recognize the problem even with normal coherent texts and are working on improving the algorithms around this.
