Balloons feature does not work with WordPress.com or Gmail?
Regarding the new "balloons" feature. I can not seem to get it to work with either Gmail or with my wordpress.com account. Zemanta works great with the firefox add-on. Just not the new balloons. I reset my preferences to "show info". So, quit trying ? :)

Tumblr won't work.
Blogger.com, TypePad, MovableType, self-hosted Wordpress, Drupal will work.

Due to the limitations of platforms, balloons actually don't support Gmail or Wordpress.com . The reason for this is that WP.com doesn't support of inclusion of any javascript into blog posts and GMai is well, an email client and also doesn't support Javascript inclusions. Not reliably at least.

Inappropriate?Where do the Zemanta balloons work then? I've been trying to do a re-search on them and haven't been able to see what a zemanta balloon looks.
Would it work on Tumblr? Else, please direct me to sites where it'd work.

To get them working, apply Zemanta links that point to wikipedia/google maps/youtube and publish a blog post. Balloons should appear then.1 Comment Add a comment

I'm using the Zemanta firefox extension and i've inserted the image and the links, but they appear as simple links on the blog page.

Inappropriate?You also have to turn balloons on in your Zemanta preferences that can be accessed through the link at the bottom right of the widget.
To access this setting you will also need to register and log in to Zemanta.
I believe Jure was unaware of a recent change when this feature was turned off by default because some people find it intrusive.
Please let us know if this solves your problem. -
