Could the Zemanta WordPress plugin make use of Gears?
WordPress 2.6 makes use of Gears to cache assets locally.
When I open a post for editing, it seems to be slowed down by a couple seconds by Zemanta initializing.
Could the Zemanta plugin use Gears to cache some things locally or to run some processes asynchronously so it doesn't slow down loading the page?

Inappropriate? Thanks John. We're already thinking about this internally. We'll have to do some tests first to see if it actually helps enough to develop it fully.
I’m confident we'll somehow speedup Zemanta
