Multiple Users/Preferences Needed on Multiple Blogs How??
How can I change the preferences on multiple blogs? The trouble is while many of the users in our network are using Zemanta (and liking it), it actually overrode the Headspace2 options for tagging (not good) and I have a further problem.
I do some of the marketing directly for our clients. When I created the very first account, now when I log into other people's blog on our network they ALL have the same username. I cannot adjust it for each person. In fact, I cannot find how I even set up the first one.
So can I customize specific email addresses, flickr accounts, etc., for EACH person and if so how??
I'd hate to have to remove this since the image insertion is a great feature and the related posts come in handy.

Inappropriate? Thanks for letting us know about Headspace2 problem. We can't test every plugin, but we'll give it a look and see if we can improve Zemanta somehow to not clash with it.
Regarding multiple users, I'll write a more detailed blog post about it today, and I'll post a link here as it's a bit complicated. -
Inappropriate?Excellent, thanks! I'm sure it's because the addon is identifying with the first person's account I created. However, I have several that need their own distinct one (they, too, have Flickr accounts).
I'll look for your post! And again thanks!
I’m going to be very happy!

Inappropriate?Hi Jure! A while back you said you'd be making a post about this problem (multiple accounts with one user). Did I miss your post? I looked out on your blog but don't readily see the answer there either.
Help?
Thanks!
I’m waiting patiently hoping for the answer

Inappropriate?Sorry, was underestimating the task, so a quick answer here:
In short, you can't do this right now.
Longer answer: you can get close to it.
There is something that's called "API key", that allows us to know your preferences. Think of it as anonymized username.
Each API key can get one set of preferences.
There's an extra piece of information: if you log in (not register) into preferences with an API key that was not connected to preferences account before, it gets preferences from that username of preferences. That's done in order to be able to move your preferences around even if you reinstall your Firefox for example.
Extra information you need to know:
- Firefox extension, has one api key
- Wordpress/MT/Drupal plugin get one API key per-blog.
When you visit a site that has Wordpress plugin with your Firefox that has Zemanta, extension, Wordpress plugin API key has priority and will override Firefox one.
--
One way to give each user their own Preferences, would be to not use Wordpress plugin, but just give to each their own Firefox extension.
--
This sadly fails in the situation that you describe as you need to switch preferences on per-blog basis and per-blog-user.
The good news is that I've already talked to the team and we agree that someone that is so active blogger definitely should not be inconvenienced while using Zemanta. We've already put some plans in place how to make this more extensible to over-come these shortcoming. We haven't set any specific dates yet, but I can say that it's coming sooner, rather then later.
I hope this explains what it's happening and why. Please do ask for more clarification if it's needed. -
Inappropriate? Thanks! I will send the API information on to my business partner (whose got a better grip on this sort of thing). The fact that you will work on it is promising though!
I do have another question before I wait for more updates... If I uninstalled the Zemanta add on from Firefox - cleared cookies - and got it again could I change the preferences?
I noticed your answer about being able to keep settings, but again (above) I'm wondering if there is a way to "start over?"
This way I could set up a master account, perhaps, versus having just one client override all the others.
Please do let me know if uninstalling, clearing cookies, and reinstalling Zemanta firefox add on would do the trick?
Thanks ahead of time!
I’m confident this will be worked out.

Inappropriate? That would actually not help. What you need to do is that in Firefox, write into address bar:
about:config
after warning, type: "zemanta" (without the ") into filter on top
you'll see on entry:
extensions.zemanta.apikey
right click on it and select reset. It will clear out:

After that restart your browser and when you go to your blog, make sure to register again with another email. This way you'll be able to start fresh.

In Wordpress plugin, just go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Zemata Configuration and Delete the api key. Fresh one will be automatically retrieved.
