No ActiveX prompt in IE7
I downloaded and installed the IE add-in, but when I got the "Successful install" page, I never got the prompt for the Zemanta Browser Helper Object. As a result, I don't have the plus icon and Zemanta isn't working.
I know that my security settings permit ActiveX -- I can install other controls without problems.

Inappropriate?Hmm that is strange. You said you are using IE7. What version of Windows are you using?
Do you have any special IE settings like proxy server?
Could you open your IE. Go to Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Programs tab, Manage add-ons. A list of add-ons opens. Can you find "Zemanta Plugin" and the status of the plugin? -

According to the Add-on manager screen, the plugin is enabled.

Inappropriate?Interesting. We haven't tested our plug-in on windows server 2008 before. You said there is no plus icon in the footer toolbar of your IE7.
In IE7 our icon is usually gray coloured, and when Zemanta is in action it turns orange. You don't have the plus sign at all or you just don't have the orange plus sign? -

See the "plus" icon on the right side of your address bar? That shows Zemanta has been installed properly but is currently inactive. When you open your blogging dashboard, Zemanta's sidebar will appear.

Inappropriate?Thank you for this information. It is false and misleading. I will report this and it will be corrected ASAP.
So how is your icon behaving? On supported blog platforms it should turn orange thus indicating Zemanta is working.

I am facing a similar problem i am using windows XP and the status of zementa add on is enabled in the add ons page still no plus sign please help
