Post Publish Date Showing 1969/1970

After adding the Zemanta Plugin (version 0.5.1) to WordPress (version 2.5.1) and adding a new Post, there seems to be an issue with the post date assigned to the article. It displays just fine in the Manage area, and also on the Blog side, however the RSS feed appears to be using the post_date_gmt field of the database, which apparently has us going back in time. This was pointed out to me by someone who has their WordPress feed published on another site, and was wondering why the latest post did not make its way over.

Not to confuse the situation any more with another issue, but it may be related so I will add it here. This same site is using the Subscribe2 Plugin, which sends out an email when a new post is published. Since Zemanta was added, no email went out for the most recent post. Could it perhaps have been affected by the date? Or might there be something else causing a plugin conflict.

In the meantime, I have suggested that they disable the WordPress plugin and install the browser version, just to see if it helps.
