Zemanta button in posts
I do not like the fact that if we use this extension we are forced to manually remove the orange Zeremba button. Scribefire had tried this when they first came out and removed it due to customer complaints. If I like an extension, I will blog about it and you will gt your advertising that way. Or I may donate.....but I certainly don't like to have your advertising pushed down my throat.
For a professional blogger, it's not a good thing.

Inappropriate?I am sorry that it bothers you. We are looking into this and are going to offer a solution in a next iteration or two.
We hope that the blogger looks at it as a "credits where credits are due". The same way attribution is put under the images. It is someone's else hard work that is being leveraged.
As I said we value users' feedback very highly and will definitely make this easier to remove for people really not wanting it. This will become a part of the preferences page that is not ready for prime time yet, but will be soon.
I hope you will not give up on us.

Inappropriate?I will give you credit, however I would like to be the one that does so. When I post a review on my blog, you will be the first to know!
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?I'm not averse to the logo being in my blog posts. Credit where credit due is fine with me, the tool is making it significantly easier to do things and it's increasing my productivity. It's easy to remove I think, you just remove the chunk of code (or delete it in WYSWIG mode)
I’m happy to promote the tool

Inappropriate?I love giving credit. But maybe if each user could have the option of the button and a text link. It would be a bit less emphasis - but still credit.
Maybe you could set custom CSS for the Zemanta area on a user by user basis?

Inappropriate?Yes, text link is one of the possibilities. We have to look at this carefully, but can't promise anything, since right now we are mostly trying to make Zemanta even more useful and correct.

Inappropriate?Even after I turned the zemanta plug in off the blog this orange box still shows in blog posts. This irritates me. I would rather have the option to use the button or not.
I’m sad

Turning Zemanta off does not cause a change because that image is stored in your post on your server. If you want to remove it from your old posts, then you will have to do this yourself.
We are sorry we can't make this more pleasant, but we have access to your post only when its opened in your editor and can't do anything with it otherwise.
What you can do to avoid this problem in the future, is open preferences at the bottom right of our widget and when a window with preferences opens, select a transparent image and save preferences.
