Inappropriate?Harlley,
What is the url of your widget? Can I take a look?
Jacques -
Inappropriate?I can see your widget fine. Looks in sync with the code.
Questions for you.
Is the "code edit zone" open when you preview?
Are you using the green preview button or the preview square below the edit zone? -
Inappropriate?I'm using both green preview button and the preview square. That's the problem, I don't get clear the cache in my machine, even though with ctrl+F5
-
Inappropriate?it just works when I change the code, click on close button, edit button and unselect "Compress CSS and Javascript" checkbox, and finally "Preview now"
-
Inappropriate?I think the problem is related with "Compress CSS and Javascript" button and cache.

Inappropriate?Harlley,
Thanks for finding this out. Just reproduced the bug as well. Yes this is a bug.
I will get back to you shortly. I hope you can continue to make progress on the functionality until this gets resolved. compression optimizes performance for widgets that have a lot of code. It will not affect functionality.

Inappropriate?Harlley,
The fixed has been rolled out. Thanks again for pointing this out. -
Inappropriate?I am also having problems with the preview. I notice that when I deselect the enable logging checkbox - the preview works. When it is selected the preview doesn't work. It looks like the above fix needs to be applied to the "enable logging" checkbox.
-
Inappropriate?despite the closeness in the UI, the 2 are unrelated in terms of how they are implemented.
I am seeing the preview work regardless of the enable logging flag.
What do you mean by "doesn't work"? Is it that the changes you are making to the code are not taken into account when you preview or is it that the widget preview behaves differently (for the same draft) depending on whether logging is used or not?
Could there be something in your widget that clashes with our logging runtime?
Can you paste the link to your widget?
Also, which browser are you using? -
Inappropriate?I've since restarted my firefox browser and restarted with a new clone of a widget and I now I can't get a change to show up in the preview no matter what I do.
This version of the widget hasn't been published yet so this case could be different from the published version I was editing in my comment above.

Note that in the xhtml editor I made a change to the "Enter a.." label and to the flickrtag value to "Boulder" from "Yosemite". In the preview these changes are not visible - the old values show. I haven't closed the editor - I'm doing the preview from "preview now" green button.
Let me know if you see the same thing. -
Inappropriate? Not seeing the same thing, sorry... also cloned the same widget and for me changes are active as soon I preview.
Do you have the same issue if you check "preview in a new window"?
Is it saved? If you reload the page do you see the changes? Does the preview work then? -
Inappropriate?Sigh, I'm now in a different location on a different system(firefox, windows pc). I've logged into zembly and now preview is working as it should. I make a change and, without saving, the changes are reflected in the preview. Yesterday I was working on firefox on a Solaris 11 platform when I ran into the problem.
I'll let you know if I encounter this problem again. I tell you - it is quite frustrating to not have the preview work.
I'll be able to answer your above questions if I encounter the problem again. -
Inappropriate?no problem. Glad it works for you know.
