Keyboard Shortcut for saving
Hi there,
I really like Zootool but what annoys me a little bit is that I always have to click on the save button when using the lasso.
It would be great if you could provide a keyboard shortcut for doing this.

I think the best way would be to use ENTER after specifying all the tags.
You input a tag, confirm it with ENTER then another one. If there's no further text the ENTER key will save the entry. Is this doable?
Right now when pressing ENTER while no text is specified the lasso does nothing so I think that could be remapped. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Inappropriate?The ENTER remapping thing is actually the best solution. I had already added alt-s as saving shortcut, before I saw your answer, but I've changed that and now ENTER is behaving exactly the way you suggested. I hope you like it, because I do :-) Thanks again for that request! This is really helpful for me!!!

I have to advise against the remapping of keys in general. I think it is just bad interface design. How is a user supposed to understand that (all of this in the same input field with no visible change whatsoever)one second the enter key behaves like the forward key and in the next, it submits the form.
This is not so much a problem for me, but I consider this a usability problem for many avarage users. You should at least provide a visual indication of what's going to happen the next time you press the enter key. Like an icon for "next tag" or "submit" that shows up in either of these cases.
I love the zootool but from a developer's point of view I think this is just bad style.
