Hello,
I am looking for a solution around BLF monitoring with Yealink phones.
1. All phones have Call Waiting enabled.
2. All phones are in a single ring group for incoming calls.
The issue is that when a new incoming call comes in, all phones show flashing red. It is not possible to see if your receptionist is already on a call and will be available to answer it.
I would rather not disable call waiting on all the phones. However, this might solve the issue with the flashing light overriding the solid red light indicating that someone is on the phone.
I was thinking that BLF LED Mode settings might help here, but after reviewing them I am not sure this is the answer.
I actually run into this issue myself. The phone will ring and if a specific person is not on a call I want them to answer it. However, when the ring group is called all BLF entries start flashing and I can't tell who is already on the phone.
What is the best way to solve for this? Do I need to disabled call waiting? What about users that have multiple devices. Disabling call waiting would probably not fix it for them as their other devices would ring.
