"Gameboard" look possibility

I spoke with Lisa about this at ISTE, but thought I'd suggest it here too. Is there a way (or something in the works) that would allow more of a visual representation of the "levels" students are working on...not just a progress bar but maybe something that I can personalize for my classes on some level to make it look more "gamey" with the quests and not so much a lists of quests as they progress. I guess something simple like on Super Mario that shows the "worlds" but what levels have been mastered/completed is highlighted but still shows what's available without all the details. I've got a picture in my head, but I' not sure how to get it into writing. I guess something that I could make look like a gameboard of sorts with my large topics as the stopping points that students can click on to get to that content section.
