Error while charging your credit card

I am trying to add credit to my account, but I am receiving the error "There was an error while charging your credit card. Please check your credit card details below and resubmit, or try paying with another credit card."

I am certain this card is good, but I also tried another card with the same result. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I too am having this problem. I just received an email saying my expiration date needs to be updated and the link provided doesn't work! Worse, my account is supposed to renew today. I've emailed customer support directly as well as posting here. I see no way to update my credit card from within 3jam either.

This is unacceptable. If we can't add value to our accounts then how can we receive calls? When can we expect this to be fixed?

Hello,

Sorry but it looks like we had an issue with our credit card merchant account provider and they have made a fix but it could take up to 24-48 hours to propagate.

In the meantime, your numbers will not be expired. Please e-mail support AT 3jam.com (replace AT with @) and we will credit your account for the inconvenience.

i too have been trying to recharge, several times this week. I emailed a couple times, and still no response from support. if i don't hear back from someone in the next few hours i am porting out because this is ridiculous. I keep getting texts and unable to respond to them, do you have any idea how frustrating that is? And the card works, the atm and amazon can testify from yesterday.

i saw the link you attached months ago, and my question is, if the company is about to shut down finally, let us know(like the announcement stated)! Its been over six months, and I have received no update. At least give us time to port our numbers out so we can, you know, communicate!

this is UNACCEPTABLE!!! i still can't add text credit to the account and we have absolutely no way of adding any!! PLEASE FIX THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WE USE THIS SERVICE FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES.

or replied to for that matter, if the service is discontinued, at least let the customers know, and give us the ability to port to companies such as google voice

40 free msgs is not enough for our company, we rely strongly on 3jam for our business. Nor are we able to successfully add credit through email either.

I am having the same problem of adding more minutes...My credit card is not going through... checked with cc company there is no issue with them.... 3jam must be having issues... I RELY ON TXT MSG. SERVICE A LOT, and if not fixed soon will have to look for other providers.

It's been over seven months since the purchase of 3jam by Skype and three months since the Micro$oft purchase of Skype. In that period, customers we're completely ignored and were given no updates whatsoever. This is totally unacceptable! I can understand the challenges in combining the three companies, but not at the sake of frustrating customers whose businesses depend on your service.
Not only can I not use my credit card now, but 3jam has not been forwarding my calls to my Skype for over five months!
Come on guys, get your sh*t together. Send out a mass email and explain in detail what's going on with 3jam and what great things we can expect.

best advice for the moment is porting/transfering your number over to: Majic-Jack, after one year the service well be in a new contract - provider...

I have been trying to VERIFY my number to receive text message but its keeps saying Sorry, we have not received the word VERIFY from your phone (+611xxxxxxxxxxx) yet.

Whats really going and i try to dail the number +491771781200 its not connecting says out of service and i cant even buy my line back because its not accepting my card whats going on i find your service good easy to use kindly get back to us and fix the problem thanks

I also am unable to renew my plan. I understand 3jam's website and service are being shut down and there is a transition plan, but we have yet to hear or see ANYTHING about this transition.

I am extremely fearful I will lose my number. I've always wanted to port my number to Google Voice, but GV won't accept it (mainly because, for some odd reason, they won't accept any ports from my specific area code and prefix, 816-263). I came to 3jam because they would take it, but I don't want to lose it!

Really wish someone would fix this now!

I agree 100%, I have very important numbers with 3jam and will sue if necessary to get them back. It is unacceptable for 3jam to leave us in the dark like this. This is screaming class action if they don't do something soon.

Hey Papool. I gave up and requested a port away from 3Jam Monday this week. I don't even know if it will go through, since the potential new voip provider was asking for a 3Jam invoice that shows address and account number. I never got one from 3Jam and don't expect one given the circumstances. The fact that we haven't heard about the transition plan and inability to renew the plan are not good signs. Which is too bad. I've liked the 3Jam service and all its features, plus it has saved me a lot of money.
GV is not the only option. There are a ton of VOIP providers. Look at http://www.dslreports.com/gbu voip section to see how they are. Callcentric is a favorite there with just about everybody raving about call quality and service. Shortcoming relative to 3Jam is apparent lack of SMS and lack of voicemail transcription.
The other two that I looked into are anveo.com and phone.com. Anveo also gets good reviews from people in the voip form, but its SMS inexplicably does not cover Verizon Wireless. It too lacks voicemail transcription. But it has a ton of configurability.
If SMS and transcription features are essential, phone.com provides both SMS and voicemail transcription, but in general it is more expensive than the other two. You would need to look at your minutes usage and see which one of these providers give you the most bang for the buck.

bump.. Any updates on this - I am in the same boat, unable to renew - credit cards not accepted.. This is very poor service and a let-down to 3jam's loyal customers. This is unacceptable that we don't even know if our phone numbers are secure.
