7notes with mazec on ICS does not work

Hello,

I purchased "7notes with mazec for Android".
I installed and started the app on my device with Android 4.0.3 (ICS).
Here is what I did on the configuration page:

1. Pressed the "Set up Now" button.
2. Checked the box beside "7notes mazec".
3. Pressed the BACK button.
4. It tells me to long-press the text box.
But when I do nothing happens. I can edit the text in the box with the keyboard.

Am I missing a step?

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    Setting up 7notes on Android 3.x or later is slightly different from the previous OS version. Actually the mazec configuration guide page says,
    "If you use Android 3.x, tap the keyboard icon on the bottom-right corner."

    This message may not help you to understand what to do next.

    I appear to have the same problem. I just bought 7Notes for a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.0.4. I did the installation and followed the updated instructions at the website. There is a screen shown in the instructions at point 4 but I don't get that. As a result, I don't see the menu either. There is no icon at the bottom left or right. The software is in a non-functioning state. I know from the website that my device is not on the list but the list is from last January. I was considering buying it for my Nexus 7 but wonder if it will work.

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.
    Changing the input method is slightly different from the Android OS or device.

    I found a video which shows how to change the input method on Samsung Galaxy S3.

    hi, i have the same problem with my nexus 7, cannot get past the 'long press here' bit, have no mazec menu, and therefore no handwriting! Please help?

      Hi Sarah,

      When you tap the text box [long press here], a keyboard icon is shown at the top-left corner of the Nexus screen.
      Drag the bar at the top of the screen and tap [Input Method].
      You can select [7notes mazec] from the list of input methods.

      Hello. I purchased Mazec 3 too, for my Samsung Tablet 4 (Android 4), and had the same problem. A keyboard icon and a "M" appear on the top left of my screen. Then i opened the bar with left hand and tapped "parameter wheel" in it. It became a pencil, and toggle like this every time. But nothing happened :
      - No dedicated space for writing in the starting form of Mazec 3.
      - tried with a Note software and with open office writer, and i can't never be rid of the keyboard.
      Drawing some characters everywhere on the screen, juste move up and down existing datas, but no handwriting characters appearing ..
      So, i ask Playstore to give me back my money and uninstall Mazec 3. I tried the same things with "7 notes" and was "punished" as well!
      Peccato!! On the paper, these software looked pretty good and metamoji seems to be a good company...
      Zannen desu ne!!
