There are a couple of inappropriate behaviors of our applications working with iOS8.
The following functions are not available:
- Stroke mode
- Changing the height of the "mazec" screen
- "Send to Application" in the Connect menu
Please be more careful when you use iOS8.
We will update the app and let you know when it is fixed.

i appear to have lost the ability to see what i type and the lines have also dissapeared. Basically the app is currently un-usable for me

I managed to use 7notes for a meeting but if I hid the keyboard the flickering scroll would be invoked. To stop the flickering I selected keyboard then selected handwriting input to carry on as normal. Hope that helps.

Please forgive me asking this after reading the above posts - but are you any closer to resolving the problems with 7notes and iOS8?
I rely heavily on 7notes for handwriting conversion. I am a senior with dreadful handwriting and 7notes is the only app I've found that works well for me - nothing else seems to come near it. It's a brilliant resource and I really have no other useful alternative.
The disappearing lines and converted text have made the program ineffective for me. Going back to pencil and paper is a really difficult alternative!
I know you cannot give users any false hope - but please do keep us up to date. Good luck with the problem. -

I have just updated my ipad to ios 8.0.2 and 7notes HD premium is no longer working. I can't write in the handwriting section and I also can't save as a PDF (ie. won't export) to drop box. I have checked for updates and turned device on and off. No luck. Help please.-

Thank you for updating MetaMoji Note for iOS8. I was having some difficulty with the mazec which I hope is now resolved.
Are you planning on updating 7Notes and 7Notes Premium? I love these apps and use them all the time, but I am finding that there are problems with the handwriting recognition features here, too, since the iOS 8 upgrade.

like many of the threads here I am having the same issues with flickering screen when using my Jot script and the top half of the key pad disappearing to name but two. one thing I did find improve the situation a little, was go to the keyboard settings on my iPad and delete everything except the basic English UK version.
iOS8 seems to add different ones.
going forward I would suggest that we wait for MetaMoji to advise if they approve before upgrading to the next iOS edition ?. This way they get to iron out any bugs before we end up being inconvenienced.
In the meantime, please get a move on this is getting s little embarrassing now. -

I purchased 7NotesHD Premium 3 months ago for my iPad Air. I use it to keep notes at work and have these notes arranged by project for organization. Its very obvious that over the last three weeks the delay for a keyboard command to reach the application is increasing significantly. I believe it could be related to the update since iOS8. It occurs whether with my bluetooth keyboard and the onscreen keyboard and only occurs with the 7Notes app. This is causing errors note taking and furthermore the backspace to erase errors will often take multiple spaces backwards even when I press the backspace with a single tap. I have cleared the history thinking that the memory in the app could be causing the delay due to searching for words, this seems to help but only slightly. This is becoming such trouble for my note taking that I may need to find another tool very soon. Please help!

Sadly, there's not a lot of choice for apps like this as far as I can see. 7Notes HD Premium was a brilliant app for me - the only one that did just what I needed. It made a real difference.
It's so frustrating to be told week after week that the development team is working on it!
I'm sure they are working hard but I think there could be more effective communication with customers. The only time we hear anything is when another customer emails about the problem.
I feel so disappointed that a company with such a good product does not keep us abreast of progress.
If there was a comparative product out available, I'm sure that most customers would have simply moved away. I have seen this happen to other really good apps when they mismanaged their customer relations.
This is a sincere request to MetaMoji: Please let us know what is happening - your product is highly valued but we have no idea of what its future is. -

I've recently downloaded the 7note premium - handwriting app for ipad mini running the new iOs8 - while it works for a while, intermittently it crashes symptoms are that the magnifying note window continuously jumps and I'm then unable to make any changes to the document or indeed operate any of the buttons on the screen - do you have any suggestions? It ruins the functionality of an otherwise excellent app -

Even our dev team works hard, it is not easy to fix the issues for iOS8.
However, they have released a updated app to our QA team.
The QA team will start testing eight 7notes apps; Japanese 7notes paid and free for iPad and for iPhone, English 7notes paid and free for iPad and iPhone).

We plan to submit the apps to the Appstore next week.
We are not sure when the Store will approve the apps.
It usually take a couple of weeks.

Is 7NotesHD recent problem solved?
Until yesterday (21 Nov 14) I had not bothered trying to use my 7NotesHD app for many weeks - since the problem of the "disappearing handwriting conversion page". Instead, I kept a lookout on these pages to see any news of it being resolved.
I went to show a friend the app yesterday - and suddenly discovered that it was now working! When I wrote, the converted text happily appeared at the top of the screen! Very happy about that :)
Is everyone else finding this issue has been resolved - or is it still unstable?
This is an app that really makes a difference to me. I'm delighted if it's working properly again but it would have been nice to hear the news from MetaMoji. -

It's still unstable. Try copying and pasting into a new document in handwriting mode and the input panel scrolls quickly so that input is not possible.

Yes, I thought that it was working, and then had the same difficulties that Mr. Cliff Fenton has reported. The instability needs repair.

Thanks for the responses! As a result, I tried out the program in both portrait and landscape on my iPad and it seems to be working fine.
Thanks for the reminder, Cliff - I have just realised that I updated iOS 8 a few days ago (8.1.1) - I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it?
I will post here if any problems recur. At the moment I am a happy man! -

Just tried it out, Len Clarke, and it is still not working for me. If I create a 3-column document and do one unit, it works fine. But, if I try to create a second unit, the write pad flickers and I cannot enter data into it.
I also have the iPhone version. It works on my iPhone but not on my iPad Mini or IPad2 if I download it there. I am not sure that this version is still available if you do not own it already, however. If you own it, it will appear in the App Store for iPhone users, but it will not appear if you don't. -

Oh, well. Six hours ago the app was working fine in landscape and portrait. Just got up and went to review the same note - and the text disappeared in landscape!!! Created a new note - same problem again. Sorry if I gave anyone false hope. [:-|

false alarm's enough to make you wanna stop following this post, which I have.
But, yes, vertical mode seems to work for me. (tap wood, cross fingers of my right hand while I write with my left.)
handwriting with 7notes still seems to be faster than typing, even though I'm a fast typist.
I just don't understand why Apple or anything platform would not have handwriting recognition integrated into any system.
On a similar note, there's an interesting tech called Spritz, for those who want to read faster.
Back to 7notes: it would be great if the buttons could be editable so that one could position the delete and space buttons (and other buttons) at any desired, preferred place on the designated bar. -

I just installed the iPhone version of 7Notes on my iPad Mini, and it seems to be working (at least for now). I have had it on my iPhone and have never had any problem with it on iOS8. The iPhone version has fewer features (for example, it does not have the option to create a 2-column or 3-column document, it does not have as many formatting options, it does not have as sophisticated a "filing system" for created documents, and it does not have as many options for importing into the app, but it is still very functional as a document in which you can enter handwriting and convert it to text, and you can share the documents by opening in other applications, emailing, etc. It really is a very nice little app, even though it is not as nice as the iPad version. I will keep everybody posted on how it is working. I hope that it is still at the App Store -- I had to install it via iTunes because it already was on my desktop.

The updated app includes bug fixes as follows:

However, it has a couple of problems (we could not remove them in this release).

Thank you so much. This is just teriffic. I use this app alot, too, in so many different ways. Each day, I enter each note as a separate unit, and then I have a full page of all my notes for the day. Then I paste different notes into different apps, as I see fit! It really is one of my preferred apps, and I am so glad to be able to use it again.
