Sorry if this has been addressed before:
Getting correct recognition for long words seems to be rather difficult. At some point, a mis-stroke (at least from my poor hand) will cause the prediction to go astray and trash correct recognition at the beginning of the word, and editing only confuses the matter. A workaround of course is to commit the word in chunks, but doing so adds spaces. Deleting them interrupts the flow of writing.
One possibility would be to have a form of commit with no added space so the word could be committed incrementally. Ideally, this would be from the line just above the characters being entered.

Hi Edward,
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
You can add handwritten characters (including spaces) in the handwriting input area (mazec screen).
In addition, it is possible to remove characters from the input area.
So you can edit your mis-stroke letters.
Please try to hold down on the input screen (a zigzag line will appear) and drag
your finder or stylus to the left or right.
The following video will help you to know how to do that:

Thanks for responding so quickly.
I have used the editing techniques you mention, but for a long word, particularly one not in the dictionary, they seem to be at best inefficient. At any rate, I usually just wind up committing it piecewise and deleting the spaces.
On the other hand, being able to commit the word piecewise without spaces would work very cleanly, particularly for compound words ("supercalifragilistic" or "desoxyribonucleic"), which compose most of the long word universe. But I realize that an idea is not a design.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Edward,
I think it is better to add the long (unknown) words in the user dictionary.
Please tap the "mazec Menu" button at the bottom left corner,
then select "Settings". You will find "Add to User Dictionary".
I tried to add "supercalifragilistic" in the dictionary.
When I wrote just "super" in the input text area, the word appeared in the list of predictive words. Please take a look at the following image:

Toshi, -
I understand your UI. I could also just invoke the keyboard, or just use a keyboard to begin with. What I'm trying to communicate is that these alternatives are awkward and inefficient. I take notes in the sciences and finance where I hit a lot of words that are used once. I don't want to interrupt the flow of writing to edit, use a keyboard, enter the dictionary, etc. I'd like to just keep writing.
The suggestion I'm making is (for instance) that you have an option to commit the chosen partial word from the predictive list above the text immediately, without a space, and only commit a space when the stylus progresses past the configured space width. This is close to your current semantics and leaves the stylus close to the line it's writing. This would work for me. There are no doubt other possibilities.
But this is getting repetitive. Address the suggestion or not.

Hi Ed,
Thank you for your suggestion.
It will solve the recognition of unknown compound words.
You can convert your handwritten letters into digital (font) text later.

This may help you at this moment.
