Have you noticed a problem where in ios7 words get split up as you write and they are transcribed?

Hi Toshi, I am sorry to say I wrote too soon - the problem has re-appeared whereby words are being split as they are transcribed.

I have the same issue. My iPad 3 and iOS7 are updated but still get spaces. The spaces appear only after the second word or more is hand written. I tried making 5or 6 changes in the setting but no change. Very frustrating. If I type one ward at a time it's fine.

Clearing the history did seem to fix the problem, but I got no response clicking done or cancel afterward. I had to close the app to use it again.

Hi Toshi, I have found the problem is worst when its difficult to write a word in (a) continuous cursive script*, (b) when entering the screen advance (grayed area) and (strangely) (c) when trying to write a time in 24 hour format (eg 21:00).

Writing more widely does help but does not overcome (b) and (c).

*Particularly a problem with the grayed screen or text advance area.

I write notes as I talk to patients in my office, and this interferes with the flow of the conversation because I have to fix the handwriting recognition errors as I am writing. It is a particular problem when the second word I write begins with the letter "o", but it is a big enough problem in general. The word splitting does not happen with the first written word, but often with the second or third.

I have already tried the solutions proposed here already. My handwriting input has not changed in its letter spacing. This is a software problem, and I would be grateful if the company would acknowledge it and fix the problem.

Hi Toshi, the software recognition in 7NotesHD has deteriorated quite significantly. I have been using it very successfully since December 2012. Ironically, Note Anytime's recognition is as it was before IOS7.

I used to use Writepad which remains unaffected by the IOS7 upgrade.

I see the same problem. It happened occasionally previously however it happens with most entries (particularly starting with a or c though others are included). Additionally, when I try to slide the "words" together, 7notes will not join the letters into one word. This happens on a regular/routine basis.

Two other recommendations:
1. Please insert a tab button (standard 5 character spacing). I use this to take notes and spend too much time "spacing" to keep my notes organized.
2. The program easily recognizes spacing between words but does not recognize when I try to include a space after a special character such as ). I have to stop my writing, enter the text to add a space manually.

I do really like using the hand written to text function - keep improving it. Most importantly, please solve the first issue quickly as it is enough to make me go back to paper

idea of a time frame? This programme is completely useless to me until the bug is resolved. Very frustrating!

Can anyone recommend an other app that I can start using?

I've been watching this and other forum discussions on the subject. The change to ios7 has caused exactly the same problems for me and it is seriously affecting my work as I have come to rely on 7notes hd for handwriting to text note taking in meetings. How long off the bug fix now?

7notes is now back to it's no1 transcriber status - well done, the wait was worth it. It is back to better than Writepad (even after it's revamp).
