Issue with Commas
why doesn't the app recognize when I use a comma? Otherwise it's pretty good. (thinks that a " is two apostrophes as well but I can live with that...)

Could your try to write a comma only?
If your handwriting is mixed together with alphabets, numbers, and symbols (including commas), the precision of recognition will get worse.

I just tried that. Still no luck. I don't even get a comma as an option on the screen.

Please confirm that the recognition mode is ALL.
You can find it on the top bar of the input text area.
Other options are Ab (alphabet only), A (uppercase alphabets), a(lowercase alphabets), 12(numbers only), #+(symbols only).
If you set the option to #+, your handwriting will be converted to any symbols.
