Hello Une,
Many thanks for taking the time to ask this question.
7Notes and 7Notes HD currently supports the English and Japanese languages. We are always considering what languages to support next, and I have passed your suggestions to the development team. When we announce any future language support I will be sure to update this topic so that you are kept informed.
Kind regards, Ben. -

Noted! I'll ensure that this is passed on to our recognition and vocabulary developers to investigate. I can't give a date for when they will be able to take a look yet, but I will keep mentioning extra language support as a hot topic!

Thanks for the offer Jonas! Unfortunately this is not a process that we have at the moment, although since your post I have reported that it is something we can look at for the future.

If youcould just add recognition of the special skandinavian letters it would help a lot. I've veen able to learn the program quite a few words but oevrige, aarsag and aeldre still is a poor substitute for øvrige, årsag and ældre.

Hi Camilla, we have a team researching the addition of new languages. I have passed on your sample words to them so that they can use them to test Scandinavian languages better once they are ready.

Hello Ben, will you be combining the languages support into one single app? I have to deal with Chinese (traditional) customers and English customers at the same time, if I have to switch between apps to write my notes, it would be very annoying..
-
Hello, we are considering this for the future but it is still two separate applications at this time.

Hi Ben
Is it possible to add the recognition of Turkish characters? (ş, ğ, ü, ç, ı ...)
Regards/Res-
Hi Res, I've added Turkish language support to the list and also support of Turkish letters. 7notes doesn't just perform letter recognition, it uses a word/phrase prediction engine that needs the words to be present. The alternative to this is to use the user dictionary (at this time) to input common words that you want to use. The latest versions of 7notes include support for some decorated letters. I will ask if the ones you have specified are now recognised.

How do i get The Turkish letters?

Hello, while we wait for all langs to be available, would it be possible to customise the word suggestion? For example, maybe one uses frequently some specific words or company names which may not be on any language dictionary, would be useful to give users the ability to create their own words and names lists...
Best regards from Italy-
Hi Andrea, you can maintain a user dictionary to achieve this. While editing click on the menu icon and then select User Dictionary. You can then define the input word and output word(s). For example you could use input "apl", output "Apple" and it will appear in the predictions as you write.

I was unaware that 7notes does not support alternative languages and frankly I wouldn't have bought it if I had known in advance. I knew you were using Vision Objects and I tried out their MyScript Memo app first. It supports dozens of languages, among which Dutch, and it works perfectly. I assumed the same about 7Notes. The more my supprise when I found out you are making it sound like it's a big problem. As I see it you can simply buy it from them as you did their SDK.

Hey guys!
How about adding cyrillic symbols recognition to support Russian? I told many people about your app (esp. businessmen-ipad owners) and they were really excited, but said, that lack of Russian language makes the app a non-starter. Please, consider this issue! -
-
Hi Alexey, thanks for getting in touch. I've added cyrillic symbol support to our wish list.

Hi,
first of all, thanks for a wonderful app! I'd really like to have German language support though and an easy option to switch between the two since I often have to write one e-mail in one language and the next one in the other.
Thanks! -

Oh, one more thing: it would be nice (and maybe this is actually allready possible) to turn off the language recognition all together and have the engine just recognise the letters one by one. That would make it possible to write even the most exotic terms and names without difficulty. (BTW: I am writing these comments with 7Notes HD and I love it.)

Please add Estonian language support into the list of additional language support. When compared to English alphabet Estonian has these additional characters: ä, õ, ö, ü, š, ž. And a dictionary of Estonian language is freely obtainable (at least for development purposes) from the Estonian language intitu

I would apretiate very much if you could include portuguese.
Thank you for the excelent app ;) -

Hi, and Vietnamese too! It is only useful to me if it has Vietnamese.
"My script" supports and Vision objects has full language recognition 30+ languages
Do you plan to have text recognition for all these if u are using their recognition software? -
-
Hello
Ths thread was started 9months ago and the supported languages remain the same.
I bought the application 3 months ago being confident on getting Spanish in future versions. Do you have any forecast about which languages will be added?

Thank you very much for you answer. I really appreciate it, showing your interest on your customers.
I hope you will find the best way to implement Spanish handwritting recognition in 7notes.

Hi,
I'd really love to see support for german.
Isn't it possible to use the iOs dictionary available?
Thanks in advance. -

I didn't find the Dutch language in this topic. Would be nice to have it included. I bought your app and am a little bit disappointed about the fact that it only recognises English.
-
Same for me. Why is there no answer to the earlier question how to turn off the textrecognition? That would help in the meantime. I now feel cheated buying this app.

It would be great if you add Turkish language included. Even though recognition capability is greater than all other applications in the market, I believe, "paid" 7notes have to support many languages (especially Turkish:)) like "free" swype does.

-
I'd like to be able to use Dutch language. Because of the English dictionary, 7notes does nog recognize my writing very well...
It's a bit of a disappointment for a €7.7 app. I hope it'll be added not too far in the future. -

I really like the app, but I need Italiano language support. I will buy the premium version once more language are implemented.

First 3 letters are recognised fine. 4rth letter changes the tekst to "pog I"' and the whole word finishes up as paging. And that is fairly close compared to most words.
Since the tool does recognise individual letters, would it be possible to at least switch the attempt to make an English word out of them off?
