Multiple error messages and horrible lag...I paid $8 for this and need it to be better.

I have just closed down and restarted and keep getting the same error messages. One is : the Application "7notes Premium for Kindle Fire" is not responding force close or wait, the other is the null and a timer. There is a horrible lag as well. IS there anything I can do to return the ease of usage I had when I first downloaded it about a month ago?
