Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I moved your post from the Note Anytime community to the 7notes community.

There are three modes for the text input area: Stroke, Convert, and Keyboard.
Please read the Quick Start Guide which is installed in your app.

I guess you are using the Convert mode.
Please select one of alternative words to insert it in the edit area.
Then the return button is available.

If I am wrong, please let me know how you use the app.
