samsung app store versus google play

Is there any difference between "Smart writing tool - 7notes with Mazec for Android" in the Samsung app store ($9.99) and "7 notes with mazec" in the Google Play store ($7.99)? The former claims version 1.3.0, 22.52MB, Jan 19, 2014, while the latter claims 1.11.3, 18.91MB but the same date. Do they both have the latest mazec3 software? Will the one in the Samsung app store work with Note Anytime from the Play Store? I assume it would, but the discrepancy in price, size, and and claimed version numbers despite the same release date concerns me.

Assuming they are the same, is there any reason I should not get it from the Samsung ap store? Will future releases be available both places?

Please 7notes with mazec from the Google Play store.
I haven't updated the app in the Samsung store.

  It is because mazec3 has handwriting recognition add-ons for other languages.

  Yes, from the Samsung store unfortunately, I was a bit too excited about trying out the product I guess. Any chance to release an update to the Samsung store, that might just fix the problem. Anyway, I'll e-mail support right now. Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated.

  Any idea on how long I should expect for a response to take? I have just noticed something, if I go to the Google Play store and look at the "7notes with mazec" app it says it is already installed, but doesn't offer me the ability to update. If I try to uninstall it asks me if I really want to since the Google Play store didn't install it. If I uninstall and try to reinstall from Google Play will it try to charge me again, or just give me the latest version (or maybe do something horrible that confuses both app stores and makes it difficult to re-install from anyway)?
