Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The current engine recognizes handwritten letters in English.
I am afraid that the engine cannot recognize shapes.
There is no image recognition/processing features, either.

7notes is a note-taking app.
I am very interested in how shape recognition is used in word processing apps.
If you have any idea, please let us know!

Hello,

Just to add to the question regarding image handling.

At the moment the 7notes HD product (for iPad) allows the use of an image "unit". This unit allows an image to be included within a document. At this time it is not possible to alter this image, for example by drawing shapes or adding text to it. This is something that we want to do in the future.

I'm using 7notes for notetaking and one drawback is lack of drawing shapes from diagrams. Wish it was there. Now I'm using another app wen it comes to diagrams and importing as an image.

Is there no way to do free form drawing? I am looking for something to replace Samsung's S-Notes and am evaluating 7Notes free. My big concern is that I appear to have to draw in this little box at the bottom of the screen - I can't just draw anywhere I like on the screen and have it recognize in place (for text - I understand that you don't recognize shapes). If I try to draw e.g. a diagram in this box it shrinks it down into the size of a character. This is definitely not what I want or need. Is this a limitation of the free (eval) version or does the paid version do the same thing?
